Bomb explodes inside car; 1 killed

The explosion took place in Doğubeyazıt town of eastern province of Ağrı at about 11pm local time on Friday night. A group of unidentified people were travelling in a light commercial vehicle when the bomb went off. The group took the vehicle to Koçkıran neighbourhood following the explosion, and left the 24-year-old Erhan Salman, who had received severe injuries, in front of the home of some of his relatives.

Salman was taken to hospital by his relatives, but he was later announced dead despite all the efforts deployed by the Doğubeyazıt Public Hospital.

A police investigation was launched after the incident.
