Hrant Dink will be commemorated worldwide

Commemoration events are set to take place in Turkey and in several other countries to mark the day of Hrant Dink's murder, editor in chief of Istanbul's Armenian Agos newspaper, who was killed on January 19 in 2007.
Hrant Dink's Commemoration event in Berlin will be organised by close friends of Hrant Dink on January 19th Thursday in Kottbusser Tor district in Berlin.

In the press release of the organisation committee it was stated that the event is aiming to commemorate Dink and lay claim on on the case on trial. The event will allow only one common babnner to be unfurled and any other banners will be banned.

The co-leader of Germany’s Green Party Cem Özdemir — a German Member of Parliament of Turkish origin and one of the initiators of the Armenian Genocide resolution that was approved by Germany’s Parliament (Bundestag) on June 2, 2016 — will be the keynote speaker at events in Toronto and Montreal in Canada, commemorating the 10th anniversary of Turkish-Armenian editor, journalist and columnist Hrant Dink’s assassination.
