The quake occurred at 6.49am local time on Sunday morning in southeastern province of Şanlıurfa. The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded as the area between Bahçeli town and Yakınkurt village of Hilvan town. The shake’s depth was recorded as 6,5-km, according to the information provided by Boğaziçi University’s Kandilli Observatory.
No material damage or losses of lives were recorded after the earthquake.
