Finance Minister Şimşek: We believe Türkiye is resilientSpeaking at the International Economy Summit (UEZ), Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek said; “The destruction caused by war and its rehabilitation will take some time. Even if a ceasefire continues today, its effects will still be felt. Geopolitically, neither the region nor the world will return to its previous state. We are going through a period of major disruptions. It is not only trade wars, demographic imbalances and their risks, or the climate crisis—rather, we are experiencing a challenging period in many dimensions, which is leading to major global fractures. Wars reflect a ‘period of monsters.’ Until a new world order is established, I hope the United States and China reach a compromise. Wars produce much more lasting and significant consequences compared to other shocks. We believe Türkiye is resilient. We proved this last year, and we will prove it again this year.”

Küresel CEO Araştırması: 10 CEO’dan 8’i resesyon bekliyorAraştırma şirketi KPMG’nin her yıl düzenli olarak gerçekleştirdiği ve küresel çapta bin 300’den fazla CEO’nun katıldığı Küresel CEO Araştırması 2022’ye göre her 10 CEO’dan 8’i önümüzdeki 12 ay içinde resesyon beklerken, 7’si resesyonun büyümelerini sekteye uğratacağını belirtiyor. Katılımcıların yüzde 39’u da halihazırdaki işe alımları şimdiden durdurduğunu ifade ederken, yüzde 46’sı önümüzdeki 6 ay için işten çıkarma planlarının olduğunu söylüyor. Resesyon riski karşısında çevik bir yapı oluşturmak isteyen şirketler ise çözümü işgücü verimliliğini artırmakta buluyor.
