Argüden Governance Academy Appoints Alp H. Yörük as the Secretary General

 

Alp Yörük, throughout his career has held senior leadership roles in national and multinational companies and has led major initiatives—particularly in the areas of strategic communication, sustainability, and stakeholder relations. In alignment with the vision of the Argüden Governance Academy, he is committed to turning his expertise into social impact.

A graduate of TED Ankara College and Political Sciences Faculty (Mülkiye), Yörük has also participated in programs focused on law, energy, and management at various universities. He has been actively involved in mentoring and civil society initiatives.

In the early stages of his career, Yörük worked as a treasury specialist at Koç-American Bank, Bankers Trust and Merrill Lynch, and During the 2001 economic crisis, he assumed a key leadership role in managing the treasury of Siemens Türkiye. He later served for many years as the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Siemens Türkiye, where he also coordinated government relations across 18 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Following his tenure at Siemens Türkiye, he served as Director of Strategic Marketing at Dalgakıran Compressor and offered business development consultancy to both the private and public sectors through Eriken Consulting, which he founded. Most recently, he held the Head of Sustainability and Marketing role at Kontrolmatik Technologies, overseeing sustainability management, corporate communications, public affairs, and marketing.

As of June 2025, Alp Yörük has been appointed Secretary General of the Argüden Governance Academy.
