Balloon festival started in Cappadocia

The '3rd International Cappadocia Balloon Festival' started in Cappadocia, one of Türkiye’s most important tourism centers.

 Nevsehir Deputy Governor and Urgup District Governor Mehmet Maraslı said, “We are together again in Cappadocia with another beautiful event. The 3rd Cappadocia balloon festival is held internationally. The international balloon festival begins, during which 18 specially shaped balloons will fly and balloons produced by our local company will take off. we always see around 150 balloons in the skies in Cappadocia, but the presence of specially shaped balloons will add excitement here. We will be hosting our domestic and foreign tourists.”

Halis Aydogan who is in charge of the event said, “This is the first day of the festival, which we are organizing for the third time. We are happy that the weather is beautiful. We will start flights with our specially shaped balloons from 12 countries. We will also perform the first flight of our 50th balloon that we produced in Türkiye. We are also happy with this. The balloon festival will contribute a lot to tourism. When it comes to balloons, Cappadocia ranks first in the world. When it comes to the balloon festival, Cappadocia will be the first place to come to mind in the coming years.”

Dilek Ozkan who came for the festival said, “I have been participating in the balloon festival for 2 years and it makes a beautiful view in the sky. I am very happy to participate in such a festival. Having such shaped balloons in Cappadocia is also very good in terms of tourism. People are happy, everyone is very pleasant.

The balloons that took off floated over the fairy chimneys. The festival will continue with a concert in the evening.
