Champions League Cup is in Istanbul

Istanbul will host the UEFA Champions League final once again after 18 years. As of today, the trophy to be given to the winning team after the final match to be played on 10 June has started to be exhibited in Istanbul.

UEFA Champions League final will be played on Saturday 10 June at Atatürk Olympic Stadium. Before the final match, the biggest trophy of Europe at the club level was brought to Istanbul. The Champions League trophy will be open to football fans at a shopping center in Istanbul until tomorrow evening.

The trophy, which will be given to the winning team in the final at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, weighs 7.5 kilograms, is 73.5 centimeters long and silver in color. The giants' trophy will be raised for the 68th time in total and for the 2nd time in Istanbul.

The semi-final matches will start in the second week of May ahead of the final to be hosted by Istanbul. Real Madrid will host Manchester City in the first match of the semi-finals on Tuesday 9 May. On the other hand, Milan, who lost to Liverpool in the final played at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in the 2004-2005 season, will host Inter on Wednesday 10 May. The second matches of the semi-finals will be played on 16 and 17 May. Due to the pairings, it is certain that an Italian team will reach the final in Istanbul again.
