HOTIAD “Success & Encouragement Awards 2017” given
Netherlands Turkish Businessmen Association (HOTIAD) “Success & Encouragement Awards 2017” took place on 6th of May with the participation of privileged represantives of the Turkish society in the Netherlands, the Dutch society and the Rotterdam General Consul of the Republic of Turkey, Sadin Ayyıldız.
The ceremony took place at the Isala theater of Rotterdam with president of HOTIAD and CEO of KOC Meat Products Company Hikmet Gürcüoğulları’s opening speech, concerning the mission and various activities of HOTIAD. Gürcüoğulları has also announced in his speech that some new important strategic steps will be taken at the near future.

“2017 Student of the Year Award” provided to Utrech University Phd. Candiadate Mr. Huseyin ŞEN (Award sponsored by YILMAZ Radijs Company)
“2017 Cultur And Art Award” provided to lyric soprano Ms. Aylin SEZER (Award sponsored by “KOC Meta Products Company”)
“2017 Entrepreneur of the Year Award” provided to Ms. Nilgun SAHİN (Award sponsored by “JILPAQ Holding Company”
“2017 Sports Award” provided to Mr. Serdar GOZUBUYUK, the youngest FIFA football referee of the Netherlands (Award sponsored by “MA Autos Company”)
Established in 2004 as a “business network” for the Turkish large and medium sized enterprises HOTIAD statesthe economy and business related goals as follows:
Contribute positively to the business cooperation between Turkey and the Netherlands and the other EU countries,
- Provide information to their members and guide them about the business opportunites available at their countryies of residence and interest,
- Enhance cooperation and information sharing among her members, as well as guiding them in developing relations with the respective business associations/organizations in Turkey, the Netherlands and the othere EU countries,
- Provide information exchange and advisory services on the trade and business between the Netherlands and Turkey to the public and private organizations whenever needed and as required.
HOTIAD also performs social missions including contributing to social and cultural development of the Turkish Society in the Netherlands, especially encouriging the youth in social and cultural fields, sports, education, entrepreneurship and of similar and providing “success and encouragement awards” since the year 2013 with this perspective.
