Joint statement from Türkiye and Saudi Arabia

In the joint statement released after the meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Deputy Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, " The parties agreed to activate the agreements signed between the two countries in the fields of defense cooperation in a way that will serve the interests of the two countries and contribute to the security and stability of the region.”

ON TRADE
The possibilities of developing and diversifying mutual trade, facilitating mutual trade between the two countries and overcoming the difficulties, increasing the communication in the government and private sectors of the two countries in order to explore investment opportunities and transform them into concrete partnerships in various fields were discussed.
ON ENERGY
The parties, as members of the G-20, agreed to activate the work of the Saudi-Turkish Coordinating Council. In the statement, it was stated that the parties agreed on cooperation in the field of energy, especially in the fields of oil and refining, petrochemicals, energy efficiency, electricity, renewable energy, innovation, clean technologies for hydrocarbon resources, low-carbon fuels including hydrogen.
ON DEFENCE
The parties agreed to activate the agreements signed between the two countries in the fields of defense cooperation in a way that will serve the interests of the two countries and contribute to the security and stability of the region.
ON REGIONAL ISSUES
The following statements were included;
"The two sides reaffirmed their efforts to intensify cooperation, coordination and exchange of views on important issues in the regional and international arena, which will contribute to the support and strengthening of security and stability in the region. The parties emphasized that the sovereignty of the countries in the region should not be violated, and they emphasized their support for finding a political solution to all crises in the countries of the region, for the effort that will keep the region away from tensions and ensure security and stability in the region.

Increasing cooperation and effective coordination within the framework of regional and international organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations; the parties emphasized their determination to maintain close cooperation to ensure peace, stability and security in the region.”
