Tanzania: The flood have affected 15,862 people

International Federation of Red Cross Crescent Societies (IFRC) have declared that following the recent floods in Tanzania have affected 15,862 people.

Tanzania Emergency Plan of Action published by the IFRC shows that the heavy rainfall occured in different parts of Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar from 12 to 18 April, causing the floods.

Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) have deployed a National Disaster Response Team, (NDRT) a Branch Disaster Response Team (BDRT) and volunteers to evacuate the affected people, administer first aid to people in need and to conduct a rapid initial assessment of the situation immediately after the flood occured.
