The Spoonmaker's Diamond is not stolen, displayed at Topkapı

A claim was circulated on social media that the Spoonmaker’s Diamond disappeared. Topkapı Palace Department Head Ilhan Kocaman replied to the claim "We preserve it under all kinds of security measures required by the museum. This issue has been speculated about before. There is never a case of forgery. The Diamond has been on display in this hall for 32 months"

On social media, it was claimed that the 86-carat Spoonmaker's Diamond, which is adorned with 49 diamonds in double rows, has disappeared. Ilhan Kocaman, Head of the Topkapı Palace Department, made a statement today regarding the allegations saying that the diamond has been exhibited in the Foreign Treasure Section of the Topkapı Palace and is open to visitors since 14 October 2019.
