Istanbul, May 15 (DHA) - Recent attacks on Saudi Arabian oil tankers and pipelines are set to increase the cost of insuring and securing crude shipments in the Persian Gulf region, added expenses that will likely lead to higher oil prices, Saudi Arabia cabinet said, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Armed drones damaged a major oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia Tuesday, in the latest assault on the kingdom’s energy infrastructure. The attack came after two Saudi oil tankers were sabotaged near the Strait of Hormuz this past weekend.
The cabinet, after a meeting headed by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, stressed in a statement, "The importance of standing against all terrorist organizations that carry out such acts of sabotage, including Iranian-backed Houthi militias."
