One of the first streets of Neolithic age was founded in Canhasan
One of the first street of Neolithic age was found in Canhasan 3 mound which is dated back 750 years before Çatalhöyük that 9thousand-aged and found in Karaman.

While it’s known that the people who lives in Çatalhöyük that hasn’t got any street and where the people enter their houses from house tops, the Street.

Architecture of Canhasan 3 mound is interpreted as a ‘huge surprise’ by the scientists who work on excavations.

In 9750 aged Canhasan Monds which are in Alacati village the excavation works have been conducting as part of inheritance to the future project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In excavation works which are conducted under the presidency of Associate Professor Adnan Baysal who is the lecturer in Ankara University Faculty of Language History and Geography, the gap between the Neolithic age people’s houses’ was found.

Baysal told that these gaps were used to provide passing. Prof. Baysal added; “Our works have been shown us the architecture. Maybe people used these gaps to protect their animals, but when we look at the architect in general, there isn’t a gap like that. Every house has their own walls and there are owens inside these houses. We can say that the locations of the owens are very different from the classic Çatalhöyük ovens.

This is a really rare architect formation. We are conducting our works very carefully to understand this. if the people lived on housetops, we need to examine why they left these areas in need. While doing this, it’s really important to understand the Neolithic era without crackery.

THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THOUSAND OF YEARS, WATER AND GLEBY
Associate Professor Baysal added that Canhasan is composed of three monds:

“When we examined why people lived in that area it’s come our way that there is a lot of water, abundant and fertile soil. We will be able to find out the living geography of that area when we match the animal and bothanical ruins on our works.”
