World's tallest woman casts her vote at home

Rumeysa Gelgi (26), the tallest woman in the world living in Safranbolu district of Karabük, who has Weaver syndrome, used her vote in the mobile ballot box brought to her house.

Rumeysa Gelgi, who entered the Guinness World Records as the world's tallest woman with 2 metres and 15 centimetres height and also has Weaver syndrome, applied for mobile ballot box to vote in the Presidential Election and 28th Term Parliamentary General Election. Upon this, the district election board officials went to Gelgi's house in Tuğra Street, Emek neighbourhood today. Gelgi voted in the mobile ballot box numbered 8801.

Stating that she has difficulty in walking due to her condition and voted at home for the first time, Gelgi said, “In all elections so far, I had cast my vote at the school by going to the polling station. I applied for the mobile ballot box for the first time this year and my ballot box was brought to my home. It's a very nice practice. It was very comfortable for me too. I wish the best for our country.”
